Can a foreigner buy property in the Dominican Republic?
Yes. Foreigners can buy houses, apartments, villas and land in the Dominican Republic with the same property rights as Dominican citizens. You do not need a local partner, residency or a special permit. The property is registered in your name (or your company's) at the Title Registry and is protected by Law 108-05 on Real Estate Registration.
