What is a power of attorney and when do I need one?
It is a document authorizing another person to sign and handle procedures on your behalf. You need one if you will not be in the country on the signing date. If it is signed abroad it must be notarized and apostilled, and if it is not in Spanish, translated by a Dominican court-certified interpreter.
