What is a deslinde (land survey) and why does it matter?
The deslinde is the official survey that individualizes a parcel with its exact boundaries and gives it its own cadastral designation. Land without a deslinde usually only has a record noted against a larger parcel, which makes it harder to sell, mortgage or build on. That is why we recommend buying only surveyed (deslindada) properties.
