What is CONFOTUR and what benefits does it give?
CONFOTUR is the Tourism Promotion Council, which approves projects under Law 158-01 on tourism incentives. In those projects, the first buyer of each unit may be exempt from the 3% transfer tax and from the annual property tax (IPI) for the exemption period, of up to 15 years. The exact benefits depend on each project's resolution.
