What is the IPI property tax and how much is it?
IPI is the Real Estate Property Tax, an annual tax. For individuals in 2026 it is 1% of the value of their real estate above RD$10,695,494 (an amount the DGII updates every year). It is paid in two installments, in March and September. Properties held in a trust or with a CONFOTUR exemption follow their own rules.
