Can I get a mortgage in the Dominican Republic as a foreigner?

Yes, several Dominican banks lend to foreigners, although with more requirements than for residents. They usually ask for proof of stable income, credit history, bank statements and an appraisal of the property. Approval can take several weeks, so start pre-qualification before signing.
